School of Love
Education with Heart

Learning with care, growing with dignity
From 2012 to 2017, the School of Love offered dozens of primary and lower secondary students a nurturing space for supportive learning, personal care, and daily encouragement.
Operating each weekday from 17:00 to 20:00, the programme was powered by the voluntary commitment of educators and university students, who stood beside the children not only as teachers—but as mentors, friends, and guides.
1
Targeted Educational Support with Care and Respect
Our volunteers helped students to:
-
Prepare their lessons for the next school day
-
Overcome challenges in subjects like Greek language, mathematics, and English
-
Boost their confidence and rediscover the joy of learning
The School of Love was more than just after-school tutoring. It was a safe space for learning and encouragement, a place where every child was seen, supported, and empowered to believe in themselves.
2
Building Communities of Learning and Care
Beyond academic content, our aim was to cultivate:
-
Social and communication skills
-
Respect, teamwork, and cooperation
-
Emotional resilience and a positive outlook on life
The school evolved into a community hub of care, fostering bonds of trust among children, families, and volunteers, while offering a sense of stability, support, and optimism.

A Legacy That Lives On
Although the programme concluded in 2017, its impact remains vibrant and alive. The values, relationships, and outcomes of the School of Love continue to inspire us to create new spaces where children can learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
We believe, wholeheartedly, that learning is an act of love—and every child deserves the chance to learn, to believe in themselves, and to spread their wings.
